Advanced Multimedia Reporting
Our first assignment was a sequence, but I was in Tambopata at the time, so I chose to highlight one of my favorite activities during my week in the Amazon: watching macaws at a clay lick.
For our first package, my partner and I highlighted volunteers who worked to register new people for Be the Match, the national bone marrow registry.
Habitat for Humanity of the New River Valley is in the process of building Virginia's largest Habitat townhome complex in Blacksburg.
Stadium Woods is a patch of old growth forest on the outskirts of Virginia Tech, but it is plagued by invasive plant species. Beth and Fred Umberger spend their time removing these invasive species in an effort to protect Stadium Woods.
